Discovering the best sunglasses for you can be a pretty difficult chore. There are so many aspects you have to look at when selecting the right pair, it can become rather confusing. Therefore, to make things easier, below are a few aspects you should look at when looking for the best sunglasses that suits you. It can make your selection easier if you split it up into categories, as demonstrated below:
Style Selection Though style may seem frivolous, it is much more important than it's usually given credit for. Style not only determines how appealing the sunglasses will look, but also how comfortable their fit is. Sunglasses aren't universal. Even though one pair may seem great on you, it could be very unflattering on someone else. Select sunglasses that match you, and not just your ideal style is extremely important. Take into account your features (including the size, style, etc.) and then make an educated decision, instead of looking at a pair and deciding that it's the one for you, without even trying it on or testing it out.
Even if a brand or style is really popular with your friends or celebrities at the moment, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's right for you. Additionally, make sure you take into account the factor of comfort. Even if a style looks nice of you, make sure it's also comfortable. If you choose sunglasses that aren't comfortable, more likely that not, even after buying them you'll avoid wearing them because they're uncomfortable, or give you sores/rashes. You should never suffer for style, no matter how good they may look.
Protection Factor The most vital aspect of picking the right sunglasses for you is sun protection. After all, the main point of sunglasses is to guard your eyes from the sun. While style and color and good and all, and pretty important as well, the real test lies with the sunglasses protection. You must ensure that you find sunglasses with suitable protection. When buying, look on the labels for certification that the sunglasses are protective.
This should be indicated by a tag that says the sunglasses deflect both UVA and UVB sunrays. Even better, ensure that the sunglasses protect (all the way, which means 100 percent) from Ultra Violet Sun Rays. Though you can easily buy cheap sunglasses for about $3.00, they break easily and more importantly, usually don't provide very good protection, either. In the long run, the protection for your eyes (and avoiding recovery costs for special surgeries if your eyes are harmed by the eyes) will pay off, and leave you feeling grateful that you made the investment.
Color Factor Although color may seem like another frivolous, unimportant aspect of sunglasses, for simple personal vanity, it's actually not. Although you should pick a color that suites you, keep in mind that color indicates other things as well. Generally, the color of a sunglasses lens indicates the level and quality of sun protection. Most colors are good in general, gray generally providing the best protection. However, blue and purple lenses are supposedly the opposite of protective, so you should steer clear of those, because of their lack of protection.
Overall, when shopping remember that you're looking for the best sunglasses for you. Make sure you prioritize and don't forget that the main goal of sunglasses is to protect you from the sun. Though they can make a nice fashion statement, your first priority should be to find glasses that have the proper protection, fit your correctly, are comfortable, and look nice on you.
Smallvolume.com offered many styles of sunglasses based on different demands, we believe that you will find the exact sunglasses for you among them, click here to view them now, you will got surprise.

Much of our day is spent at work and regardless of where you work practically everything you do requires commodities.

A hand-held fan is an implement used to induce an airflow for the purpose of cooling or refreshing oneself. Any broad, flat surface waved back-and-forth will create a small airflow and therefore can be considered a rudimentary fan. But generally, purpose-made hand-held fans are shaped like a circle segment made of a thin material (such as paper or feathers) mounted to slats which revolve around a pivot so that it can be closed when not in use.
The movement of a hand-held fan provides cooling by increasing the airflow over the skin which in turn increases the evaporation rate of sweat droplets on the skin. This evaporation has a cooling effect due to the latent heat of evaporation of water. Fans are convenient to carry around, and the folding kind in particular are compact to carry.
Like porcelain, fan is not only an article for daily use but part of Chinese culture. That is why the collectors of all succeeding generations have been particularly interested in fans, and the artistic pieces on the fan-covers put under a separate category by the connoisseurs.
In China, screen fans were used throughout the country. The earliest known Chinese fans are a pair of woven bamboo side-mounted fans from the 2nd century BC. The Chinese character for "fan" is etymologically derived from a picture of feathers under a roof. The Chinese fixed fan, pien-mien, means 'to agitate the air'.
19th century depiction of a Japanese folding fan.
Hokusai's Five Fans.Fans were part of the social status for the Chinese people. A particular status and gender would accord a specific type of fan to an individual. During the Song Dynasty, famous artists would often be commissioned to paint picture on the surface of a fan.
In China, the folding fan came into fashion during the Ming dynasty between the years of 1368 and 1644, and Hangzhou was a center of folding fan production. The Mai Ogi (or Chinese dancing fan) has ten sticks and a thick paper mount showing the family crest. Chinese painters crafted many fan decoration designs. The slats, of ivory, bone, mica, mother of pearl, sandalwood, or tortoise shell, were carved and covered with paper or fabric. Folding fans have "montures" which are the sticks and guards. The leaves are usually painted by craftsman. Social significance was attached to the fan in the Far East. The management of the fan became a highly regarded feminine art. The function and employment of the fan reached its high point of social significance (fans were even used as a weapon - called the iron fan, or tie shan in Chinese, tessen in Japanese). Simple Japanese paper fans are sometimes known as "harisen". In Japanese current pop culture, Harisen are featured frequently in animation and graphic novels as weapons.
Printed fan leaves and painted fans are done on a paper ground. The paper was originally hand made and displayed the characteristic watermarks. Machine made paper fans, introduced in the 19th century, are smoother with an even texture.
The folding fan was invented in Japan in the 8th century and taken to China in the 9th century. The Akomeogi (or Japanese folding fan) originated in the 6th century. These were fans held by aristocrats of the Heian period when formally dressed. They were made by tying thin stripes of hinoki (or Japanese cypress) together with thread. The number of strips of wood differed according to the person's rank. They are used today by Shinto priests in formal costume and in the formal costume of the Japanese court (they can be seen used by the Emperor and Empress during coronation and marriage) and are brightly painted with long tassels. The Chinese dancing fan was developed in the 7th century. The Chinese form of the hand fan was a row of feathers mounted in the end of a handle.
Folding fans (Japanese "sensu", Chinese: "shanzi") continue to be important cultural symbols and popular tourist souvenirs in East Asia. Geisha of all types (but maiko most often) use folding fans in their fan dances as well.
Japanese fans are made of paper on a bamboo frame, usually with a design painted on them. The fan is primarily used for fanning oneself in hot weather.
The fan symbolizes friendship, respect and good wishes. They are given on special occasions, and they are also an important stage prop in Japanese dance.
It was also used in the military as a way of sending signals on the field of battle, however fans were mainly used for social and court activities. They were used by warriors as a form of weapon, actors and dancers for performances, and children as a toy.
The fan stands for many things, the Japanese believe that the handle of the fan symbolizes the beginning of life and the ribs are for the roads of life going out in all directions.
Wedding flavors are a personalized way to have a little keepsake of your special day. And now Chinese flavors for weddings come as one of the trends for weddings. Steeped in tradition, Chinese weddings feature bright red shades to the fullest. From wedding favors, invitations to dresses, red color always pops out. Red, in Chinese Culture, is festive and pleasing to eyes. For the happiest occasion, red shades are sure to be considered the first choice by Chinese. From wedding favors, invitations, to dresses, red is visible for certain.
One will find that the traditional Chinese wedding dress is a little different from the typical American dress. It is generally much more decorative, and much more work is put into it. The type of dress that is worn usually has something to do with the region that the family is from. Those who are in the north may wear the Qi Pao, and those who are from the south would wear the Cheongsan. There are many other examples from within china which are shown in the styles of dress, which could be Mongolian, Tibetian, or even Taiwanese. There are many other groups as well which we will not have time to go into.
The dress's color is also important. Most often, women wear red because this signifies happiness. Traditionally, brides do not wear white, because white symbolizes death in China. However, lately, Chinese brides have begun to embrace Western traditions, and are wearing more white.
Chinese Wedding dresses can really be masterpieces when considering both the fabrics and embroideries. The traditional bridal gowns are Qi Pao, which is a one-piece frock, similar to a sheath. Red Qi Pao with refined Phoenix embroideries, that tightly hugs the curvy body, looks really beautiful. Actually until today Qi Pao is also considered as a work of art to show off the perfect proportion of human body. In Southern China, brides would wear a two-piece, referred to Cheongsam. This red bridal Cheongsam are adorned elaborately by golden dragon and phoenix.
Red shades adorned with some golden dragon or phoenix in Chinese tradition are believed to herald good luck and protection from evil spirits. Traditionally dragon and phoenix dress designs also symbolize the balance of female and male power. To add some Chinese flavor to your wedding, red color as well as gold dragon or phoenix elements can be never the better choice!
To complete an over-all look, a red veil piece is traditionally the part of the bride' s outfit for covering her face in the ceremony procession. Usually made of precious silk fabrics, Chinese bridal dresses would be the prominent features and there would be nothing can match the passion and charm of red Chinese wedding dresses in the wedding ceremony.
Traditionally, the Chinese Culture value family ties a lot. There is a saying that "It is natural to get married when you grow up." in Chinese society. Chinese people place special emphasis on marriage and have many traditions associated with it. Red is an important color in China, therefore it is obvious that it will play a big role in such a significant ceremony.
New2
The Halloween season is almost upon us again. It’s interesting as you study cultures around the world how different things are celebrated. In traditional Chinese cultures, costumes are used in many rituals, plays and dances. It’s not uncommon to see the two-man dragon dance during the open ceremony of a business or around the New Years time. Likewise, you’ll find a rich history of costumes used in various opera productions, such as the Monkey King and his Pig Lord sidekick.
Chinese costumes, can also be worn during days that signify happiness and festivity, like the Halloween. Be a Chinese princess or a Chinese girl-warrior by wearing the Chinese dresses. Boys can be Bruce Lee, the Monkey King or be an animal in the Zodiac.
The Basics
The Chinese national costume is pretty and festive used on its own. However, for those who want to celebrate in their favorite Chinese story personalities, handy things around the house can be added to the basic Chinese costume.
1. Chinese Dress - Qi Pao
Qi Pao - This Chinese Dress is elegant and festive in its own right. Qi Pao means banner dress when translated. It usually has a high neck and slits on the sides. Designs can vary to flatter the woman's good features and hide the less than perfect features. Qi Pao for young girls can also be gotten in different colors and materials. For active young girls a Qi Pao dress-pants is a good idea.
Decide what impact you want to have when you walk into the room before you look at any Halloween costumes. Do you want heads to turn or do you want to look sexy, devilish, funny or impish? Once you have chosen your outfit, think of what shoes, hairstyles, accessories and makeups you'd like to go with.
Fushion east-west of UGG boots or sneakers, docile traditional slippers or mary jane, or daring high heels or leather boots?
Bun hairdo with our hair pins or chopstick? pony-tail or bob-cut for the cutsie chinagirl visage? or dyed streaks, and sadako style?
Do not forget the lipstick! Deep red, or a lite pink is recommended to compliment our dresses for the Halloween
Don’t forget the Bling. Get some costume jewelry for your Halloween dressing up secession. Rings, necklaces, bracelets, ankle bracelets, clip on earrings and maybe even an umbrella are all good suggestions for dressing up as a China girl for Halloween.
2. Chinese pants set for boys
For boys, the traditional costume pants set is a must-have set. The top has a mandarin collar with long sleeves. Pants are loose and flowing. Some costume sets include hats with pigtails or hoods.
Dressing up
It is a good idea to gather the following from around the house before starting to mix and match.
Getting sequined Chinese slippers or kung fu shoes from a nearby department store can be a good idea. It can be worn several times if you like wearing costumes for every event (or regularly, since they are comfortable). These can also be ordered online.
Mom's silk skirts in shiny fabrics, dad's silk robes may also be looted. If your family has wigs lying around the house, keep those. It may turn out useful for completing your desired look. Beautiful fabrics, scarves, bead necklaces, even table runners can be added to your collection of materials. Craft flowers, satin ribbons can also be added to the hair.
Chinese Princess
Do this with: girl's empire cut long dress/ other long dresses in plain design, in shiny fabric and plain design can also be used as a base garment when dressing up as a Chinese princess. An empire cut spaghetti strap will also do nicely. This can be topped over by a long robe/ blouse with butterfly sleeves(These tunic blouses were in fashion 3? 4? Years ago so mom may still have one in her closet.)
Hair can be fixed in a double bun, one on each side of the head, or let some of the hair flow. Beads can also be strung through the hair. Sashes can be tied around the waist, or can be used as hang down designs for the belt.
2. Lady White Snake
Similar to the Chinese Princess, although wear a white costume. May also bring a toy snake and put a pillow by the tummy to look pregnant.
3. Chinese Girl-Warrior
Like Mulan or Yu Shu Lien/ Jen Yu in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Do this with :
-Cheongsam dress-pants set
-Toy Sword or toy bows and arrows
-Kungfu shoes/ other shoes
Wear the pants set and shoes, sling over the toy weapons and youre done. Mom may also fix Warrior's hair into a neat hair style fit for battle.
4. Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee is one of my favorites to see. Strong, mysterious, and handsome, what girl wouldn’t swoon for this guy. A costume to look like him is also quite easy to recreate. The easiest version of him is to go topless with a pair of black Kung Fu pants and Kung Fu shoes (or if those are hard to get, black wrestling shoes and black sweat pants).
But some of us aren’t fortunate enough to live in a warm environment, so another option is Bruce Lee in a yellow and black sweat suit as he wore in Game of Death. Or you could go for the Kato look from his appearance in the TV show, Green Hornet
5. Monkey King
Do this with :
-Boys Traditional Black Kung Fu pants set
-Monkey mask or face crayons
-Stick
I am generally a exceptionally positive person but like everyone I do have the odd thing that annoys me. As you may all be aware I get really irritated when people comment on my weight and when people tell me I must drive. I've also been recently thinking of other completely random pet hates of mine and I thought I wld share them.
1. 'Do you see the glass as half empty or half full?'
I really have never got that one. Now I know that it is supposed to be some kind of indication of whether or not you are a positive or a negative person but seriously... THEY'RE THE SAME THING! There is absolutely no innate difference between the two statements the glass is half empty or the glass is half full there is exactly the same amount of substance in the glass no matter what words you choose to use. In my experience a far more accurate way of judging whether or not someone thinks positively is to take a look at their lifestyle choices. People who are positive invariably lead happy contented lives and people who are negative dont. Do we really need irrelevent questions to try and determine something that is generally pretty obvious if you spend more than ten mins in someones company.
2. What came first the chicken or the egg?.
Im sorry but I was under the illusion that Charles Darwin wrote some theory of evolution that has been widely accepted for quite a while now, and besides, we all derive from eggs so why not, what came first the human or the egg? or what came first the alligator or the egg? I could go on ...
3. You dont choose who you fall in love with.
Ok- so who does? God? Maybe- but invariably people seem to site the, 'its not my choice' arguement as an excuse for a bad decison, so does a loving god really force you, through the power or love, to make decisions that are detrimental to your emotional well being. I don't personally think that makes a lot of sense.
4. If there were a god then this bad thing would never have happened.
So a perfect world in which there were no pain or suffering of any kind would be a proof of an intelligent creator and the fact that there is suffering in the world means god doesnt exist? How would you ever know you were happy if you had never been sad? How could anything ever be good if nothing ever went wrong? It seems to me that people have a kind of faith until somehing they percieve as bad happens to them and they wish to punish god by claiming his nonexistence.

hello everyone.
i havnt been on here for a while. sorry. so this is a bit of an update on my sometimes good, sometimes shitty life.
The last few weeks i have been a bit busy. my lap-top likes to be an arse from time to time, and bad things happen. so here is a blog that i wouldnt write on my other sites.
Everything was great, even though i couldnt drink or smoke. i was happy and contented in a way i could only be once in a blue moon. Now, after 2 months it turns out that i can drink and smoke as much as i like. I dont know how it happened, but it did. i dont want to write what happened word for word, but you will most likely guess. This isnt a 'woe is me' blog, just a 'get this shit out' blog, and a thank you to my friends. times like this, you really find out just how many people love you, as its easy to forget. we all do it. And sometimes writing is easier than talking......or so they say. But i am at a stage of just pure sadness rather than depression. Which is sort of good. Well, a lot good i suppose.
All i want to do is write one of my nonsense blogs now. but its the school run, and i need to OCD trip in my kitchen, i have done every room but the kitchen. once i clean my kitchen...all wars will end.
Well, id like to think so, anyway.
Thanks for listening, or rather reading my rant.xxxxxx
The management of chronic pain has long been a necessity for many patients, whether the pain stems from a previous injury, disease, underlying health condition, or any other source. The fact of the matter is that when a patient has constant or consistent pain, it must be treated in the safest and most efficient way possible.
There are no universally accepted classifications of pain management techniques in the medical field. Instead, pain management techniques are roughly organized by how invasive they are. Some techniques, such as physical therapy, are considered entirely non-invasive and do not inherently involve the use of any pain medications. Other pain management techniques, such as pain medications (including pain rubs, salves, and lotions), are purely pharmacologic in nature, meaning that they only involve the use of medication. Still other techniques fall into more than one category, such as pain management injections, which invasively introduce pain medication into the body.
There are multiple over-the-counter (non-prescription) and prescription medications that can be helpful in relieving pain. Careful attention to pain management is a critical component of a patient’s eventual recovery and rehabilitation (if that is seen as possible), as acute or chronic pain can lead to depression, difficulty sleeping, and difficulty exercising and stretching, all of which in turn can exacerbate and prolong your pain.
Some of the most common medications for chronic and acute pain management are:

Today I began to freak out about the pickle I appear to be in: I have a 2:1 in performing arts, no idea what I want to do with my life, and no idea where to begin. Was I wrong to choose a creative subject to study? Was the fact that this wouldn't give me a clear path to a job for the rest of my life really the best idea, or should I have been more sensible in my selection?
The truth is I wasn't really thinking when I chose my degree, I just knew I wanted to do something creative, something I was good at, something I could handle 3 years of, and to be honest I was too busy planning my gap year to care. Well now I'm panicking about what the hell I'm going to do for the rest of my life. I was never one to worry about things like the future, but now I'm skint on the other side of the world with no one to help me it's started to worry me. Plus I'm 23 and starting to feel like I should have just settled down in a job that pays enough to live on instead of following my desire to see the world.
I always wanted to do something glamorous, be more then I really am. But let's be honest it's never going to happen. If any one has any suggestions as to what the hell I can do for the rest of my life, don't hesitate to let me know!

I always thought I was at least marginally intelligent and liked to think I only worried about the important things - looking outward at the bigger picture instead of getting stuck inside my head and having only selfish worries. But something happened yesterday that has scared me more then Kim Jong Il.
The Hollywood desire for perfection and size zero has always confounded me - I grew up watching Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield sashaying around with their phenomenal curves and unbelievably sexy figures. I always believed that a small waist and curvy behind was the most beautiful and breathtaking - and the look I would always strive for. The stick thin superstars of today do not ooze sexuality and femininity, nor do I think that Victoria Beckham having smaller jeans then her youngest son is anything to be proud of. Looking like you haven't eaten for years, legs that look like they will snap at any moment, bones that stick out, sharp and blade-like, looking under developed and childish when you're in your 20's just isn't right. Obviously I'm aware some girls are just born thin, one of my best friends wears a size 8, only because she doesn't want to buy a size 6 as she hates being so thin - but its natural on her. Not a single bone protrudes , you can't see her ribs and her hips don't emerge from above her jeans. But the look I'm talking about, are the gils who quite clearly are supposed to be bigger. The girls who look like they're battling a disease, and really they are.
Anorexia and Bulimia are serious. They kill girls and boys every year, irreversibly damage many more, and ruin the lives of those who have to live with them. But today Anorexia has become a lifestyle and a choice and has stopped being taken seriously by teenagers and young girls. Even on Youtube.com if you search for pro-ana videos, thousands appear. Videos girls have made portraying images of super thin models and actresses with "thinspirational" music playing in the background. There're even before and after videos of people like Lindsey Lohan and Nicole Ritchie giving the idea that if they could get so thin, so can anyone. The comments below are even scarier -"I just want to be thin", "I'm going ana this week", and "I need an Ana buddy, can anyone help?". Now these girls try to emulate their heroines and knowing that they don't have the will power or the disease, seek to assist each other in their goals of zero body fat - supporting and helping each other resist the terrible urges to eat.
A recent study showed that girls as young as 10 are dieting and believe themselves to be fat and ugly, at 10 these girls should be making dens and climbing trees, playing dress up and running away from disgusting boys - no way should body image even be a part of their lives. Women are constantly fed airbrushed images of the "perfect" female image, gossip magazines point out the so-called flaws of the rich and famous, gleefully circling the merest hint of cellulite and tiniest roll of fat so when a normal woman looks in the mirror and sees her own bumps and dimples she can only feel shame and disgust that her body can never possibly live up to what she believes she should look like. How could anyone find her attractive when she is told her figure is just not acceptable?
I always thought this would never affect me - there is so much more to worry about in this life then to waste any time worrying about things you probably can't change. Plus I do yoga every day, walk everywhere (in my hometown there was no public transport, seriously) and eat well. Working nights over the past 6 months meant that my eating habits did become somewhat unvaried and I did become addicted to cereal, but I remained a size 10 (though my jeans did start to loosen). Since moving to Australia however, I have been working a whole lot less and eating a whole lot more pizza. Yesterday I put on a pair of jeans I've not worn in a few weeks and to my disgust realised they have become tight around my arse and thighs. They still fit, but most disgusting of all my thighs now meet at the very top. They actually touch. My boyfriend couldn't understand the problem as he likes the fact that my arse is now round and sat there shocked as I began to CRY. Actually cried because I now fill my size 10 jeans. And I thought I was sensible. After i calmed down I realised what had just happened, and it worried me. Why do girls do this to themselves? Why do we let ourselves be taken in by propaganda and the media and believe that we should be so thin we could vanish if we turn sideways? I find girls that have starved themselves into submission are NOT beautiful, just kind of sad. I used to be envious of my friends who had big boobs and round arses and now I want to fit inside jeans that would be tight on a nine year old. I think I've gone insane.

In addition to these four bands the ticket also includes free entry to Club Deviant after the club. All this for a recession beating £6. Now give me a decent excuse for not clicking that button...
I have spent a good portion of the morning kicking fake members off the site someone is adding fake profiles then dding affiliate links to them. If the person was genuine and only had one profile I might of let it slide but it was getting to the point where it was difficult to tell genuine members from false ones. The real members out there I apologise for letting it go on as long as I did.
If anyone here finds other members they suspect are not genuine which I haven't removed let me know and I will check and remove if false.
If you are the person doing this STOP! I will not allow this to continue. DON'T TEST ME!
Thanks to all the genuine members,
Keep Rockin'

Blogs are good because you can get this shit out. Ive been feeling weird lately, and i cant put my finger on it. I have a fantastic gorgeous house, the best family ever, but i have been such a miserable bitch lately. Nothing seems to please me. I want to unleash hell. Thank god peter is so understanding, he really does adore me. he adored me before we even met. but its never good enough for me, is it? I have been so pissed off lately, and want to lash out and be evil. yeah. i want to lash out and be evil. And as insane as that sounds, is it really as insane as bottling stuff up for years and then..............................
(i think i feel better now)
WEll, not quite. But having recently moved to a new city on the other side of the world and having spent the last week living on what the locals lovingly refer to as "goon" and as I am not a fan of hostels, we have decided to take up my friend on her very generous offer of living in her garage. Now we do have a bed, a sofa, a heater, a fridge and even sky so it's not exactly poverty! All mod cons and that, but we can't lock it and have been caught in serveral compromising positions already.
Though I have to say, I recommend uping stick and fucking off to everyone - it was sad and hard to leave my friends and family and there have been many tears shed for my cats but it's an adventure. And I love adventure, especially one hwre there is no plan and I have no idea where I'll b form week to week. Awesome.
Sadly the garage or 'shed' as it's refered to has no internet. So if anyone has been missing my stooooopid rants, I'll put more up soon when I stop being so lazy and get my arse to the library.
xxx
I get so annoyed with people constantly thinking its ok to comment on my weight. For the record
YES I EAT AND NO I DONT THROW IT BACK UP AGAIN!!!
Why do people think that its ok to tell me, oh you've lost weight (which I never have- it appears people seem to have a tendency to forget how skinny I am everytime they see me) or state that I am too thin! Should I start telling them I think they are too fat and see how they like it?? This is my natural weight i dont watch what I eat or do any particular exercise. You got a problem with that- go tell someone else and not me cause I'm sick of hearing it. I get so much criticism for something that is just the way I am and it is as unfair as someone having ago at someone who is overweight. I'm not even that skinny I'm a size 8-10 and not underweight.
I seriously resent the accusation that just because i have a nice figure that i must therefore have a serious mental disorder- who decides this fact? Maybe I run around looking after three children (or two and a husband if u prefer) have lots of sex and walk everywhere because i dont drive.
Which is another thing that annoys me- why are people constantly telling me that I must drive?? The state of the environment and all I hear is "you should drive, you know" Why exactly do I need to drive? Pollution is disgusting, our countryside is ruined by tarmac the motorways are clogging so that I could probably walk faster down them and every body is depressed and overweight probably because they get in their car to go to the corner shop!!! but apparently I need to drive
NO I DO NOT WANT TO OR NEED TO DRIVE
i have a very generous husband who is always willing to drive me anywhere i like if needs must but most of the time SHOCK HORROR I am happy to use public transport or walk! I am green and fit- Bite me you car driving elitists!!!!
Leeds - 2009 Post Nuclear Winter
Every year around this time in june, teenagers set bins on fire and ran-sack houses, the city center becomes a ghost town and a melancholy mist descents over the city as all the students leave to go home for the summer.
Often throughout the year I'll say to myself, 'gawd I cant wait for these damn students to leave (kind of hypocritical considering I am one, What I really mean is I can't wait for these rich kids to leave)' and then i regret it as they all seem to drag all the cool people with them to their respective towns. Night clubs close, shops fire staff, In all honesty Leeds over summer feels like it has been evacuated due to some post nuclear winter fall out. I have even had to call in reinforcements due to the sheer boredom.
What do we do with these 'Student Cities'? Can they even be called cities if for 4 months of the year the population is reduced to that of a hamlet? It would almost seem as if I pay the price of having good weather by having very few people to experience it with.
All I can say is roll-on Graduation and therefore Manchester!
